Scenes of animal abuse shown in a recent BBC programme are an ‘intolerable exception’ to the otherwise high welfare standards seen in the UK dairy industry, a statement from the British Cattle Veterinary Association has stated.  

Vets in the UK will no longer be able to prescribe POM-V medications without physically examining their patients first.
